Bolesławiec, Poland plant begins shipping parts to European customers

Bolesławiec, Poland, June 16, 2011 – SRG Global Inc. (, one of the world’s leading providers of advanced, high value coatings on plastics for the automotive industry and other non-automotive applications, celebrated the grand opening of its newest facility in Bolesławiec, Poland. The event coincides with the beginning of parts shipments to customers in Germany and surrounding countries, according to President and CEO Kevin Baird, who attended the celebration.

“We're pleased to announce that SRG Global-Poland is fully operational and satisfying the needs of our customers in Germany,” said Baird to a group of well wishers, local government leaders, suppliers and employees.

“This new, state-of-the-art plant complements our other facilities in Spain, and creates manufacturing and delivery efficiencies to support our customers.”

At the event, Plant Manager Enrique Martinez thanked those in attendance for their support of SRG Global and the company’s decision to build in Bolesławiec. “We appreciate the outstanding support we received from Bolesławiec President Mr. Roman and his dedicated team,” said Martinez. “It is evident that they view new investment as a priority. The authorities work hard to streamline the development process to attract new projects that will create jobs.

The Bolesławiec plant is one of a number of positive initiatives undertaken recently by SRG Global that demonstrates its consistent growth despite challenging economic times. Other initiatives, including expansion of activity in China, and the groundbreaking for a new plant in Irapuato, Mexico, are in line with its business objective of establishing a global enterprise with regional and local design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities that will ensure consistent quality and delivery anywhere in the world.

Bolesławiec is located in Southwest Poland, approximately 45 km (25 mi) east of Germany at Görlitz. The 13,000m2 plant designs, produces and assembles high quality painted plastic parts, and features:

  • Molding machines ranging in tonnage from 600 – 1,800
  • Paint lines capable of using water or solvent-based paints
  • Assembly cells that supply complete modular concepts.

Its design capability will allow SRG Global to introduce leading edge technologies directly to the marketplace more quickly and efficiently.

The facility, which began production during the second quarter of 2010, meets or exceeds technologies recommended by the EU Best Available Technologies initiative to limit harmful emissions. The plant also complies with all EU and Polish regulations, and is ISO-TS Certified.  It will be certified under ISO 14001 by the end of 2011.

SRG Global Poland will eventually employ more than 220 highly skilled workers representing engineering disciplines in research and development, design, product and quality, and process and technology.
